On 25th April 2016, the colourful Barrio Soho is joining forces with Herradura Tequila, for a wonderfully hot and spicy chilli and tequila-tasting event.
At this fiery master class, spice loving tequila aficionados will have the chance to learn how the unique flavours of this popular Mexican tipple can be matched and contrasted with varying degrees of chillies, to create a taste-bud sensation of flavours.
On the evening, guests will be presented with a delicious welcome cocktail from Barrio’s talented bartenders, to awaken their taste buds and get tongues tingling. Chilli expert and Barrio Brixton’s Head Chef, Heath McDonald will then introduce his three chosen chillies, which will be incorporated into a variety of different miniature canapés for guests to sample.
The canapés, which will all vary in spice, heat and intensity, have been specially matched to three different 100% agave Tequilas, carefully selected by Herradura’s Brand Ambassador, Nicci Stringfellow.
Heath’s passion and love for chillies is evident throughout the Barrio Brixton food menu, which incorporates an array of Peruvian chillies in a selection of mouth-watering dishes with homemade marinades and sauces. From Amarillo chilli cream to Rocoto mayonnaise and Panca chilli dip, Heath’s Baja Mexican cuisine tantalises the taste buds and excites the senses.
This event will be hosted in the basement bar of the recently refurbished Barrio Soho. With its beautifully vibrant interiors, ever-growing premium tequila collection and flavoursome food menu, Barrio is the perfect environment for a Mexican fiesta of chillies and tequila.
