MUSIC OF LIFE
The Music of Life Foundation provides musically gifted disabled youngsters with unique opportunities to be trained professionally and perform together with internationally renowned artists. For this festive occasion, the star of the concert is the magnificent solo percussionist Evelyn Glennie who will perform alongside talented young musicians with disabilities and special needs. She is joined by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Armonico Consort and the UNESCO World Children’s Choir. This special Christmas programme will contain Evelyn’s transcription of Vivaldi’s Piccolo Recorder Concerto, Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols and new arrangements for Marimba and Choir.
