Studio 3 Arts is delighted to announce that it will be showing Paine’s Plough’s With A Little Bit Of Luck by Sabrina Mahfouz on Friday 29 April at 8pm. Originally commissioned for a festival audience, Part-theatre, part-gig, With A Little Bit Of Luck premiered to standing ovations at Latitude Festival in 2015. The production features Seroca Davis as Nadia alongside the vocal talents of Martyna Baker and DJ/musician Gabriel Benn, directed by Stef O’Driscoll.

‘I want to be iconic. I want to be beautiful, reckless, feared, hated, ahead of the times.
I want to be different, I want to be dangerous’.

It’s London, 2001. Raves, Revision and Re-election. Nadia is swept up in one hot summer’s night of love that promises endless possibilities. Drinking, dancing, hope, ambition, lust, greed… and decisions that will determine the rest of her life.

Rhythmically underscored by a live mix of old school UK Garage, award-winning writer Sabrina Mahfouz explores the legacy of a cultural movement that defined the hopes of a generation. London, 2015. Re-wind.

“Fist-pumping euphoria… one of the highlights of Latitude’s sun-stroked 10th anniversary festival… crackle[s] with a rare and unexpected life.” The Stage

“The crowd dancing, singing and cheering the whole show.” – Whatsonstage.com

“The same fizzing energy of the best club nights…
marks Mahfouz out as a unique theatrical voice.” Public Reviews

The event will also feature a very special live PA appearance from British urban and garage singer Kele Le Roc best known for her hits Let Me Know, Little Bit of Lovin’ and My Love.

Speaking about the event Studio 3 Arts Artistic Director Liza Vallance said: “I¹m so excited to welcome Paines Plough to Studio 3 Arts. I really love their work and this play in particular. Studio 3 Arts has a real history with UK garage music and with theatre, so to host a show that combines both of these things is a dream come true for me. And then to top it all a live PA from Garage Legend Kele Le Roc. What a night this promises to be!”
