Coya, London’s critically acclaimed Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Piccadilly, has partnered with the award-winning Casamigos Tequila, co-owned by Rande Gerber, Michael Meldman and George Clooney, to create the perfect partnership named the Coyamigos – an evening of cocktail making and Peruvian tapas on Tuesday 26th April 2016.

The “Coyamigos” master class will take place in the atmospheric Peruvian Bar lounge where guests will be invited to learn to shake, stir and strain Casamigos hero cocktails, from the master Pisco Bar mixologists, good enough for the stars but easy enough to recreate at home.

Transport yourself to Latin America as innovative Peruvian tapas, created by Coya’s Head Chef, perfectly match and highlight the notes of the drinks served throughout the evening. Work your way through the cocktail list and make Casamigos Margaritas to El Diablo (tequila, lime, ginger beer and creme de Mure) whilst also enjoying the Casamigos portfolio, Blanco, Reposado and Añejo in its purest form understanding the full flavor profiles of the tequila and why it is the fastest growing spirit in the world. Paired dishes include Crocantes Con Guacamole (corn tortillas, shrimp crackers and homemade guacamole), Tuna and Chicken Tacos and Pollo Anticuchos (marinated chicken skewers fired on a charcoal grill).

“Casamigos Blanco is crisp and clear, with subtle hints of vanilla and a smooth finish, Casamigos Reposado is smooth and clean with hints of caramel, and Casamigos Añejo is a perfect balance of sweetness from the Blue Weber agaves, layered with barrel oak and subtle hints of spice with a lingering smooth finish. All expressions are great served neat or on the rocks, and are the perfect base for premium cocktails,” says Rande Gerber.
