The Little Radio

Studio 3 Arts are delighted to present The Little Radio, a unique jazz duo who will be performing their dazzling and live jukebox music at Studio 3 Arts. With new and reworked songs ranging from classic jazz standards to children’s songs, The Little Radio will bring their constant unique flair and wit to Barking at this FREE exclusive performance.

The Little Radio are internationally acclaimed jazz artists Iain Ballamy (Saxophone) & Stian Carstensen (Accordion). Working in partnership with Sound UK, Barbican Guildhall and Studio 3 Arts’ social heritage project Open Estate, together they will delve into the memories of local people, both young and old, in Barking to inspire re-workings of local musical favourites. Little Radio will also explore a fantastic repertoire ranging from Chopin, Satie and Kurt Weil through to classic jazz standards, original works, tangos and children’s songs which make a rich and diverse program rarely heard before in a new and imaginative setting.

The Little Radio performance is Wednesday 27 April, 10:00am – Noon at Studio 3 Arts, Boundary Road, Barking. The performance is FREE and will also include light refreshments, all welcome!
