Summer doesn’t officially arrive until the first BBQ is lit;
National BBQ Week is back for its 20th year and there are pop-up BBQ’s aplenty!

This May bank holiday sees the start of something great; BBQ season! And lucky people across a number of locations will be able to enjoy pop-up Guerrilla Grill-ins at official headline and wine sponsors, Majestic Wine Warehouses, plus lots of other busy locations across Greater London!
National BBQ Week marks the beginning of the most delicious week of the year from May 30th – 5th June. Throughout the week, the UK is being urged to clear the patio, dust off the barbi and get grilling as part of a national push to get everyone eating outdoors!

This is one of the UK’s biggest awareness weeks and has changed consumer BBQ attitudes and usage from just 9 million in 1997 to over 130 million last year with the overall BBQ food & drink market being worth around £1.3 billion, up from just £150 million back in 1997.

And this year National BBQ Week is encouraging us all to become Better BBQ’ers and indulge in some Gastro Grilling. And to show us how to do it, a road-show of Guerrilla Grilling experts will be in various parts of the South East for the entire week. Locations include:

31st May – Majestic Winehouse Dulwich
1st June – Majestic Wine Warehouse Wimbledon
2nd June – Majestic Wine Warehouse Clapham
3rd June – Majestic Wine Warehouse Shepherds Bush

Saturday 4th June – Majestic Wine Warehouse Chalk Farm and Islington
The not to be missed Guerrilla Grillings run from 11am to 7pm approximately with an hours break between 4pm and 5pm. Grilling on the Saturday will be 11am – 1pm/1.30pm to 3.30pm and 5pm – 7pm, with no endangered species in sight.
