On 22 September, we’re holding our annual Galapagos Day event which is an evening where people can learn more about the latest wildlife conservation news from Galapagos, mingle with like-minded people and celebrate the most unique and fascinating archipelago in the world.
This year’s event has three main talks. The first is by Dr Glyn Young, from Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, who will be talking about the ground-breaking Mangrove Finch and Floreana Mockingbird projects. We also have a talk from Dr Richard Kirby all about plankton and why it’s so important to Galapagos marine habitats. Finally, Dr Amy MacLeod will be updating us on her research of the endemic marine iguanas of Galapagos.
