The UK's First Stolen Goods Shop

The UK’s first Stolen Goods Shop launches next week, hosted by app-based insurer Back Me Up, exposing some of the most commonly stolen items such as bikes, laptops and jewellery.

The Brick Lane pop-up shop will be an ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ of police-seized goods, and launches on Thursday 3 November at the Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane – an area notorious for high levels of bike theft – finishing on Sunday 6 November.

The Shop is filled with goods bought from police auctions. Visitors will find a range of items including cameras, bikes and handbags, alongside more wonderful and wacky items, such as a Princess Diana Stamp Collection! People can browse and buy the police-seized items with all profits shared between the charities Mind, The Prince’s Trust and Shelter[1].
