Walton’s Christmas Festival of Light

On Saturday 26 November, Walton-on-Thames’ annual Festival of Light, organised by Walton-on-Thames Trading Alliance (WoTTA) and sponsored by The Heart Shopping Centre, will light up the town once again.

Once again, local schools and community groups get heavily involved and over 2,000 people attend this spectacular event. Families can enjoy a wealth of entertainment, stalls, promotions and Christmas rides from 9:00am to 7.00pm at The Heart and throughout the town. The amazing light parade will commence at 5:30pm, which will lead up to the countdown to The Heart’s charming Light Switch On at 6:00pm as well as a host of other surprises.

This year, for the first time, Walton-on-Thames is hosting an all-day official Christmas-themed market and you can even visit Santa’s Giving Grotto where you can donate a gift to an elderly person.

Mark Middleton, General Manager of The Heart Shopping Centre, says “Together with WoTTA, we are extremely excited about the Festival of Light taking place this year.
