Levi Roots Carnival Takeover

Levi Roots’ Carnival themed Urban Food Fest street food and bar night market extravaganza is on Saturday 26th August 2017 exclusively featuring Levi Roots (famous for his Reggae Reggae Sauce) performing live music at the market, handing out free Reggae Reggae Sauce, signing his books and serving his famous Jamaican street food, smothered of course in Reggae Reggae Sauce! Our themed market is to coincide with the world famous Notting Hill Carnival and so Urban Food Fest is throwing its own Shoreditch Carnival to celebrate all things Jamaican and Caribbean!

Our Carnival ‘Rastaraunt’ will feature 15 street food trucks and stalls serving a fabulous selection including “Levi’s Reggae Reggae” slow cooked, slow smoked home-made jerk chicken, “Calypso” Jamaican goat curry served with rice and peas, “Carnival Queen” sticky pulled pork and crispy fried plantains, “Roots & Culture” Caribbean beef brisket and red hot tomato salsa, “Limbo soul” charcoal lamb shanks with lime drizzle and in the V corner vegan “No Meat No Cry” vegan spiced vegetable balls with roasted peppers. Themed desserts will include Levi Roots spiced coconut cupcakes and vegan cacao nut brownies.

Our beautiful flowery Urban Food Fest cocktail bar will feature a unique selection of bespoke Carnival cocktails including the “Levi’s Roots Lover” Pusser’s dark rum, Rebel Kitchen coconut water, rum and orange cocktail, the “Kingston Carnival” vodka, lemongrass and summer strawberries and the “Sekforde Hey Man!” botanical rum mixer, Westerhall dark rum and lime. Our bar will also feature vodka foam shots, ice cold cans of Caple Rd cider, Home 2.0 craft beer, ORA Italian craft beers, wines and prosecco. Plus seating areas and servers dressed in Caribbean costumes. There will be a free craft beer or cocktail for everyone in Carnival fancy dress!

Urban Food Fest market features beautiful vintage furniture seating areas complete with giant deckchairs - plus every table will have free of charge giant games including giant jenga, giant dominos, connect-4 and giant playing cards!
