A heady evening of vintage cocktails, swing dancing, live music and performance. Don your gladrags and prepare for the blackout as we blast our way back to the 1940s for this Museums at Night! Purveyors of artisan gin Sacred Spirits will be tickling tastebuds with vintage cocktail tastings, whilst Swing Patrol teach you to get those feet tapping and the spellbinding sounds of the Night and Day Collective beat a rhythm in the Great Hall.

Elsewhere in the Palace you can stock up on scrumptious rations and raise a toast in the bar, accessorise with authentic furs, hats and finery in our pop-up photo booth and prepare to run for cover as the sirens blare during our air raid experience.

Sacred Spirits:
A pioneer of the gin renaissance, the award-winning Sacred distillery is based in Ian Hart’s family home in London’s historic Highgate and now has an exciting additional new space – still in Highgate – at the Star Pub in Chester Road. Over the years, Sacred has branched out into vodkas, aperitifs and vermouths and, more recently, whisky to become a multi-product company with a knack of dusting off old categories and making them relevant again. Strange as this may seem today, this included gin back in 2008!

The Night and Day Collective:
The Night and Day Collective are a London based band that love to play hits from the Golden Era of Jazz&Swing! Their repertoire consists of favourite songs from the 1920s to 1940s with a unique Parisian/Gypsy Jazz twist. Put on those dancing shoes and dust of your flapcaps and get ready to step back in time and dance the night away!

Swing Patrol:
Swing Patrol are a community of over 1,500 dancers, a passionate teaching team, four amazing troupes and a small but dedicated team of staff and volunteers. From hole-in-the-wall speakeasies to London’s great dance halls, they’ve built a massive collective energy and made great friendships along the way. They hope you come along and check them out!
