WAYNE PARSONS
Wayne’s workshop will take the format similar to that which he would run at an audition for his company. This workshop will require the participants to be open minded, playful and be willing to engage in textual and physical improvisation. Led mostly through improvised task work this workshop will be a chance to use the voice and the body in led explorations of character and movement.

CANDOCO DANCE COMPANY
Candoco Dance Company workshops offer a fun and creative introduction to contemporary dance and Candoco’s inclusive practice. Led by two Candoco Artists, the day will offer an opportunity to take part in a dynamic warm up, followed by a chance to explore and develop contemporary dance skills. Through exploring current company repertoire and creative tasks, each individual will be encouraged to investigate their physical and creative potential. Workshops culminate in a chance to build performance skills and share any work that has been created.

HISTORY OF YOU by Progression performers with Sarah Blanc / Moxie Brawl
A new performance created by Progression performers working with Sarah Blanc, responding to the themes and ideas from History of Ireland.

HISTORY OF IRELAND by Sarah Blanc / Moxie Brawl
History of Ireland is a brand new show for five women (and a sack of potatoes), which attempts to re-write the History of Ireland form a female perspective, using theatre, comedy and dance.

Moxie Brawl welcomes you to the annual Irish beauty pageant ‘The Rose Of Tralee’ where the contestants treat you to a taste of Ireland. Taking a look at the stereotypes from leprechauns and nuns, to folklore and myths, to Micheal Flatley’s mother, nothing is left unsaid as they re-write the history of Ireland. Highlighting Irish women’s achievements often forgotten in history books, such as their role during the Civil War, winning the right to vote to the struggles Irish women faced in the laundries and how in 2017 abortion is still illegal. It will be loud, thoughtful, fun, slightly crazy and very green.

History Of Ireland is funded by Arts Council England and supported by Candoco Danc
