Join Alexander Moore, curator of Unearthed: Photography’s Roots and Kim Knoppers, art historian and curator at Foam Gallery, Amsterdam, in this online talk as they reflect and share their approach to curating photography exhibitions.
Get an insight into what it takes to stage an exhibition, from the initial concept to researching and designing a show. Whether you’re interested in working on exhibitions, or simply curious to learn what goes on behind the scenes, this is a great opportunity to hear from leading industry professionals.

Speakers

Alexander Moore is a curator and award-winning published photographer who has worked on 40 exhibitions across 12 commercial venues. He is curator of Unearthed: Photography’s Roots and Creative Producer at Dulwich Picture Gallery. Alexander previously worked at Huxley-Parlour to establish a programme celebrating international contemporary photography and has also worked with world renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino.

Kim Knoppers is an art historian and previous curator at Foam in Amsterdam. She has worked on group and solo exhibitions for Foam, most recently Back to the Future, The 19th Century in the 21st Century, Extendable Ears by Sheng-Wen Lo and Afropean: Travels in Black Europe by Johny Pitts. Kim is a lecturer on the MA Photography at ECAL in Lausanne where she created and developed the course Do Not Disturb — Curating in Progress.
