Knit and Weave with Black Girl Knit Club

Join Black Girl Knit Club and La Basketry and learn how to knit and weave in this FREE hands-on workshop at the Crafts Council Gallery on Pentonville Road, Angel.

Work with a range of yarns and make your own coaster using basic knitting and weaving techniques. As well as this you can help Black Girl Knit Club and La Basketry make a larger patchwork piece!

This workshop is suitable for children aged 7+, however we welcome people of all ages!
Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult to attend this workshop.

There are two timed slots for this workshop: 1.30-2.30pm and 2.30-3.30pm. Spaces are limited so please book onto one session only.

This workshop is part of Make! Craft! Live! and is one of eight participation events taking place across the country.

Make! Craft! Live! is a season of nationwide exhibitions, learning events, fairs, and digital activities that celebrates the value of craft to empower, enrich and connect our society. Running from October 2021 to October 2022, this marks 50 years of the Crafts Council and will be delivered through craft activities taking place at venues across the UK such as craft studios, museums, galleries, schools and community centres.
