The legendary Sudanese-London collective The Scorpios brings their electrifying Eastern funk & soul-infused Afrobeat to perform live at The Jago!

Hailing from Central Sudan and now based in London after fleeing the fundamentalist takeover in that region, the 10-piece psychedelic Afrobeat band, The Scorpios, meld Arabic rhythms and guitar with raw Eastern funk and Western jazz, in a cyclical swooning ecstasy.

Dismantling cultural barriers in pursuit of a unifying rhythmic bliss, heavy bass, synths, horns and percussions drive through traditional Sudanese forms to create a sound that owes as much to Detroit as it does to Khartoum.

Supported by The Flotsam Orchestra, an incredible 30-piece global roots ensemble bringing together talented musicians, spanning diverse backgrounds and cultures. United by a vision to play music that transcends boundaries, their unique sound creates an uplifting and truly spellbinding celebration of unity and diversity!
