Lana-May & her Hot Jazz Band @ Le Quecumbar

Le Q is so excited to welcome back one of our youngest and brightest All Stars members for a special one-off concert with an all new line-up - the fabulous 'Vintage Clarinettist' Lana-May!

You may have seen her play hot clarinet as a guest with Paulus Schafer and Robin Nolan, or caught her electric performance alongside UK gypsy jazz's finest for our Django Birthday concert - but now is your chance to see what she does best, backed with a full quartet of incredible musicians.

Giving a nod to artists such as Sidney Bechet, Johnny Dodds, Edmond Hall, and Albert Nicholas, prepare to be transported back in time to the gin bars of 1930s New Orleans and Montmartre, as you wine and dine while Lana-May and her band perform an eclectic mix of traditional hot jazz, romantic melodies and filthy blues.

With her full-bodied sound and expressive playing beyond her years, coupled with a dazzling vintage aesthetic, Lana-May creates an immersive, authentic cabaret-jazz experience not to be missed!

For this concert Lana-May is delighted to be performing alongside Ben Gordon on piano, Callum Smith on Drums and Ben Crane on Double Bass.
