Moundabout - Live Soundtrack

Irish Film London is excited to announce we are teaming up with powerhouse London promoters Baba Yaga’s Hut to bring our audience a true sensory delight, combining footage from the Northern Ireland Screen Digital Film Archive with a live performance from new Irish act Moundabout.

As part of a project which seeks to explore creative repurposing of archive images, IFL dived into the NI Screen archive and found a treasure trove of silent footage which was waiting to be rediscovered & reinterpreted. This ethos also perfectly describes Paddy Shine & Phil Masterson's new folk project Moundabout which purposefully blurs the line between experimental sound & traditional folk music. By joining forces with this incredible band we have a chance to look back in time and add new meaning to old images, by combining them with exciting and highly original new music.
