Sat 20 May

To celebrate the anniversary of our opening in May 2000, we are offering you a chance to come and visit us at the original entry price of £6.50*.

If you have never been before now is the perfect time to discover for yourself the beauty of London Wetland Centre.

The London Wetland Centre is completely human-made, to preserve a space for nature in the face of ever-expanding urban development.

The centre is one of the most important 21st century conservation projects. By increasing biodiversity in London the reserve offers hope for the city’s wildlife and provides people with a space to connect with nature and be inspired to protect it.
Key facts about the centre

London’s first large-scale, man-made, inner city wetland reserve
Welcoming over 150,000 visitors a year.
Created by WWT founder Sir Peter Scott and opened in 2000 by Sir David Attenborough
95% of the site is a Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) thanks to the reserve’s diversity of wild spaces and species, including rare migrating populations of birds such as gadwalls, shovelers and bitterns.

* There is NO need to book your ticket in advance, just walk in on Saturday 20th May.
All ticket categories will be at same price of £6.50. Children under 4 still enter for free.
