Harriet Walter has commissioned this exhibition of photographs called Infinite Variety. The premise of the collection is to portray ageing women in a beautiful way and to show that as women age they should embrace their wrinkles and changing faces. This is a perennial topic facing women everywhere and it’s fantastic to have this issue brought to the forefront by such a well respected actress, showcasing beautiful images of women.

The exhibition will be on show at the National Theatre, London from 1 July until 15 August and features some well known iconic women, namely Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Vanessa Redgrave as well as a host of striking women from all walks of life. Harriet Walter will also be in conversation with Joan Bakewell at The National Theatre on Friday 2 July where they will discuss the issues raised in the exhibition and debate the media’s perception of women as they age.
