Blackfriars Road Gallery Opening

The inaugural show of brand new gallery space, Blackfriars Road, features a diverse array of work from graduates of London's top art schools including the Royal College of Art, Royal Academy Schools and the Slade. The exhibition showcases a host of new talent, displaying striking, subtle and engaging pieces by filmmakers, painters and printmakers; from Bea Haines's 'Heavenly Bodies' series of lightboxes to hypnotic 16mm film 'Mare Libervm' by Peter Sant - a meditation on Grotius's treatise on the laws of the sea.

Blackfriars Road sources and exhibits unrepresented artists from recent graduates through to mid-career practitioners; nurturing emerging talent and fostering debate between artists, curators and the public.
