Calling all child scientists

This Summer researchers at the Birkbeck/UCL Neuroimaging Centre, London are looking for children between the ages of 6 and 10 who would like to take part in fun studies and learn about science. The Centre uses the latest techniques including brain imaging, to study many different aspects of cognitive development, this includes how we learn to understand language, recognise objects and faces, interact with others, and engage in abstract thought. A visit to the Centre involves playing fun games with friendly researchers, whilst getting a chance learn about science and the brain in a fun way. Participants are compensated for travel costs and will receive a free picture of their brain! This is a great way for families to have a fun day out in London and get the chance to contribute to our understanding of how the brain develops.
