Ensemble BPM bring Three Tales to London, for the first time since its 2002 première.
Three Tales is a unique experience. An enthralling fusion of live music, cinema and theatre, this video opera recalls three events from the twentieth century: the crash of the Hindenburg Zeppelin, the nuclear bomb testings at Bikini Atoll, and the cloning of Dolly the Sheep. Three Tales tells the story of technology's growing dominance in the twentieth century, and its evolving relationship with man.
Three Tales is performed by the new contemporary music group Ensemble BPM, playing live to a film which features archive footage, audiovisual documentary and interviews with leading scientists including Marvin Minsky and Richard Dawkins.
A multimedia work with an acute political focus, Three Tales is an essential experience for everyone affected by technology.
