Movement From the Core - Dance Workshop

This workshop is an attempt to find the ‘original body'. Each body and its inner landscape is unique and at the same time is constantly changing through the interaction with its environment and the daily experience of its existence. We will explore body in movement from the core with comprehensive training and performance practice through intensive body work and improvisation techniques. We will confront our own bodies, limitations and habits. This workshop is aimed at dancers, but anyone interested in body exploration is welcome. *Booking recommended Macarena Ortuzar is a dancer born in Chile, living in Oxford where she has resided for the last five years. She has worked as a dancer and a performance artist in NYC, Houston, Italy, Chile and Japan. Her experience includes her work as an independent artist and in collaboration with other artists, developing practice and performance inspired primarily by the research of improvisational butoh-body performance.*Contact us to request a lower rate if you cannot attend because of financial difficulties.
