A guided tour of the awe-inspiring Medieval Great Hall. The Guildhall was built in the early 1400's during the reigns of Henry IV and V, and is the only secular building to have survived the Great Fire. It's therefore a 'must see' location and a chance to see highlights including:
*The site of Lady Jane Grey's trial
*Dick Whittington's window
*Ancient statues of Wellington, Nelson and Pitt the Younger
*Gog and Magog
*Fantastic Gothic artchitecture!
The tour is taken by a registered City of London Guide.
Important note - the Great Hall is still a working building, used by the City of London's local authority and can be closed to the public at short notice. It's advisable to call ahead on 07983 679485 before turning up at the meeting place.
