Prince and Princess Mango Tree Contest

Fabulous wigs, handmade costumes and death defying heels will be on display as celebrated Thai restaurant, Mango Tree, hosts their famous Lady Boy competition – but with some extra twists to make it fresh and exciting for 2011. After the success of adding the Mr Mango Tree element to the competition last year, where men got to enter for the first time, Mango Tree are now celebrating the Royal Wedding with the Prince and Princess Mango Tree Competition.

On Sunday 14th August from 6.30pm till late, enjoy a night of high-class entertainment as the contestants strut their stuff in three rounds before a panel of VIP and celebrity judges. Lady Boy entrants will fight it out for the coveted Princess Mango Tree crown, as well as the prizes of £500 cash for the winner, £300 for the runner up and £200 for third place. Alongside the lovely lady boys, the more masculine contenders will strut their stuff and prove they are worthy of the same cash prizes and the title, Prince Mango Tree.

Together the two winners will make up the restaurant’s celebrated royal couple – Prince and Princess Mango Tree 2011.

Hosted again by Miss Kimberley and Julian Bennett, who looked after proceedings last year, ticket holders are invited to enjoy an array of entertainment from cabaret performances, (including two songs from Miss Kimberley herself) and a live DJ set, all set against a backdrop of Royal Wedding decorations. There will also be exotic cocktails and delicious Thai canapés available all evening.

So spice up your Sunday evening and put your best stiletto forward for Prince and Princess Mango Tree.
