An Enchanted Eye is a collection of Cuban and Mexican photography by travel photographer Eleanor Marriott.
Eleanor, who previously exhibited at Canning House in 2009 with her 'Cuba Libre' collection of photographs, has been invited back following her return to Cuba and her recent time spent travelling around Mexico.
Her collection of over 50 photographs will reflect the colour, vibrancy and beauty of the two countries, whether in the pastel hues of Cuba or the bolder more vibrant colours of Mexico. They are witness to daily life in the streets, markets and homes of the citizens, as well as to some more special occasions such as street festivals. She also includes some poignant photos showing the hardship of life for some in these countries, whether due to reasons of class in Mexico or to the unique circumstances of Cuba.
