Knitting Techniques workshop, knitting in colour

"Enjoy a creative colour knitting workshop with Julieta Brandao from knitshop.co.uk. The workshop is for all levels of knitters using the basic knitting stitches, who are interested to work from patterns and with a wide range of yarns. Participants should end the workshop with a test swatch and the ability to confidently use their own personal colours in intarsia designed patterns.

The methods of handling yarns in intarsia will be demonstrated. Special attention will be paid to colour and pattern. Only the basic stocking stitch will be used: row 1 knit, row 2 purl. The basics of this techniques can be learnt quickly and you will soon be using more than one colour in your knitting.

Julieta started teaching workshops for knitshop.co.uk 6 years ago and is till today teaching at the boutique in Lee High Road and at several craft and knitting shows around the country.

Students will have the opportunity to practice intarsia knitting with a pattern or a test swatch. Pattern or instructions are given to the student to take home and practice further.

All materials and refreshments are provided in the workshop.
