Fiddler on the Roof, set in the small Russian village of Anatevka in 1905, is the story of the milkman Tevye, who tries desperately to keep tradition alive by arranging marriages for his daughters in the traditional way.

When his daughters refuse the matchmaker’s advice, Tevye must choose between their happiness and his beloved tradition. Meanwhile, in the wider world, changes are afoot – there are rumours of pogroms and revolution, which could destroy their small community.

It includes such classic songs as If I Were A Rich Man, Matchmaker, Matchmaker and Tradition.
