Emerging artist Yulia Badian introduces her abstract stitched and acrylic paintings entitled "Slices of Life” as part of the Brick Lane Gallery’s ‘Chain Reaction’ an Art in in Mind Exhibition, which runs from December 8-18, 2011.

Yulia’s striking six part collection is inspired by the deep emotions of love and loss and an unshakable belief that there is always more goodness to come. The fabric of everyday life is reflected in the textures, patterns and natural geometry she creates in her pieces. Sinuous curves and strong colours are executed in acrylic on canvas, with some pieces pierced and stitched with shimmering silk threads and others using leaf silver to symbolize the importance of future creativity and hope.

Art in Mind is an ongoing group exhibition organised by The Brick Lane Gallery, offering emerging artists a platform to showcase their work to a fresh and growing London audience.
