A new photography exhibition called CLOSE-UP:Discovering Hidden Talent, showcasing portraits of musicians, artists, politicians, food culinary and TV personalities.

The 40 images on show is by ten young photographers who have been mentored by award-winning photographers Shamil Tanna, Andy Fallon, Richard Bailey and Scarlet Page.

Among the celebs featured are Louis Theroux, Glenda Jackson MP, Miquita Oliver, Brix Smith-Start, Jamiroquai, The Feeling, Snow Patrol, Gavin Turk, Fergus Henderson, Bompas and Parr.

Louis Theroux a supporter of the YOUYOU mentoring scheme had a series of behind the scenes portraits taken at The Underground Restaurant.

Through these images, CLOSE-UP breaks down the cultural and social gap between celebrity status, enabling young photographers to experience the interaction, dialogue and understanding of the subjects, environments and cultures.

The exhibition is presented by YOUYOU Mentoring a scheme that provides mentoring opportunities for young people with top professionals in the creative industries.
