To celebrate the start of carnival in Brazil Movimientos presents a night of carnival drums, jump up afro-brazilian roots music and psychedelic tropical grooves. Three of Brighton's finest new Brazilian and Tropical acts make the journey up to light up Dalston's finest boutique live music venue and cultural hub Passing Clouds. On the decks special guest from Athens DJ Palov (from the amazing production duo Palov and Mishkin) joins Movimientos DJs to provide the backdrop mixing up the freshest Latin beats with Samba Funk, Cumbia and Swing, whilst upstairs the Udigrudi host a funky eclectic Brazilian themed affair.

Caracazul

Caracazul...Soulful Folkloric Sunshine Grooves, beautiful melodies, mesmerising percussion and jump up brass...

This new 8 piece Brighton band take inspiration from the vibrant roots music of South America, fusing a Coco, Samba, Samba Reggae, Baiao, Maracatu, Forro...blending soulful voices and punchy brass with an incredible range of traditional Afro-Brazilian rhythms and beats. Happy sunshine grooves to warm your heart and make you dance your socks off!

Maracatu Cruzero Do Sul

Brighton based roots collective Cruzeiro Do Sul (Southern cross) bring you soul thumping, hypnotic beats and folkloric songs straight from traditional North East Brazil.

King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dancing Band
Exotic sounds and aromas… King Lagoon’s psychedelic Afro-Latin-dancing-music show comes with costumes and light show as well as a smells and effects technician!

An evolving palette of smells, lights, smoke, rocket balloons and even a giant dancing lagoon creature are co-ordinated with an original and varying set of music that transports you to a faraway, fantastical place.
