TPA will be visiting Glaxo Smithkline on Greenford road in Crawley with a diverse and inspiring photographic exhibition called: Between Here and There. The exhibition includes work by twelve artists who explore peoples’ relationship with ‘place’ through the medium of photography.

This very ambitious exhibition brings together perspectives from around the world, including Derek Dewey-Leader’s photographs of almost unreachable spaces in the Grand Canyon, U.S.A, Catherine Johnson’s ethereal snapshots of life by the side of Thailand’s rivers and David Thomas Smith’s kaleidoscopic aerial photographs of remote and unusual industrial locations. Also featuring in this exhibition is work by: Andrew Chu, Dafydd Kemp, James Chincharo, Joe Lang, Kim Cunningham, Sylvia Adams, Matt Rolfe, Rachel Delacourt and Alan Underwood-Parry.

“Although we exhibit photography with subject matter from all four corners of the globe we are also keen to specifically work with local special interest groups and educational bodies and explore the potential offered in each town and city we visit”. “New tours will encourage local people to photograph a perspective on their own community”, says Antony Riley, Creative Director of the Photographic Angle.

TPA is a charity that stages exhibitions in vacant buildings around the UK, dedicated to furthering the knowledge of photography. By hosting free and regular exhibitions nationwide TPA brings a wide range of photography to as wide an audience as possible.

This exhibition will be occupying one of our best-known buildings once home to the giant conglomerate Glazo Smithkline, TPA’s photography exhibitions in Greenford are proving to be very popular, attracting gallery-goers to an area where arts and cultural events are increasingly appearing.
