Ian O’Donovan

2011 has seen Ian DJ across Europe with acts like John Digweed, Luke Slater and Psycatron. Having already released on many respected labels such as Bedrock, Wolfskuil, Eevonext, Natura Sonoris & Stripped and upcoming EPs on Vince Watson's Bio label & Master-H's Komplex De Deep imprint as well as remixes for The Japanese Popstars, Ian is quickly becoming a much sought after producer, remixer and DJ. His tracks are regularly played by many big name DJ’s including John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Hernan Cattaneo & Pete Tong etc to rave reviews

Ian O’Donovan hails originally from Limerick, Ireland. After spending many of his earlier years listening to various styles and genres, Ian came across the world of underground electronic music. He quickly began to immerse himself in this music and the scene itself. Ian began DJing playing house, techno and electro and although his palette has widened over the years, his DJ sets are still largely filled with these genres of music. It wasn’t until he moved to Australia in the mid 00’s that he began to create his own tracks, teaching himself production techniques and developing his sound. After returning to Ireland in 2009, he decided to focus more of his attention on making music seriously. He began sending out some new tracks and immediately caught the attention of Laurent Garnier, who’s constant support has gained him a big following.

Described by Laurent Garnier as ‘one of the main players in the Detroit techno style” and “one of the best up and coming DJs”, it’s easy to see why Ian is gaining so much support. 2012 looks to be another big year for Ian with loads of releases and remixes as well as exciting collaborations.

Dibby Dougherty

A collection of highly acclaimed, pioneering productions combined with his electrifying DJ sets have established DJ/producer/remixer Dibby Dougherty as one of Irelands most exciting and ground-breaking talents to cause a stir in the world of electronic music in recent years. Boasting dance music luminaries such as Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Mark Knight, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman and Funkagenda as just some of his advocates, Dibby is firmly on track to becoming as prominent as his heavyweight admirers.

Originally heralding from Derry, Dibby is currently based in Northern Ireland’s capital Belfast. Where he holds a residency at the city’s illustrious Yello, over the last couple of years Dougherty has played alongside everyone from Groove Armada, Dirty Vegas and Crazy P to Nick Warren, Sébastien Léger and Mark Knight. Further afield, he is regularly touring at clubs in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and across America. Covering a broad spectrum of electronica, Dibby’s DJ sets are largely based around progressive house and techno, however prepare to be mesmerised as he incorporates everything from lush deep house to stabbing acid house into the equation. Always exhilarating but never predictable, Dibby commandeers the dance floor with skill and precision.

Dibby draws inspiration from over a decade of dance music heritage. His distinctive productions have been released on revered labels such as Dave Seaman’s Audio Therapy imprint, Global Underground, and Baroque. He has also had the honour of remixing for artists like Infusion, Trafik, Jimmy Van M and Oliver Moldan to name a few. As some of the biggest and most respected names in dance music have testified, Dibby Dougherty looks destined for great things. Already tipped by Mixmag January 2012 Edition as Rising Star - One to Watch – you’ll be hearing lots more about Dibby in the coming months!

Ian O’ Donovan and Dibby Dougherty will be supported on the night by our very own Matt Tanner. What better way to kick-start your St. Paddy’s weekend celebrations right here in London than with the cream of Irish talent from some of the most respected labels and clubs from around the world.
