New Empress Film Quiz

On Sunday 19th of February the New Empress Quiz Night returns to the Shortwave Cinema in Bermondsey.

To celebrate the fact this week is the 25th anniversary of an integral member of the bratpack getting it on with a synthetic sweetheart, we’re dedicating a special round to Andrew McCarthy – the star of hits such as Weekend at Bernie’s and Weekend at Bernie’s 2, and the previously alluded-to Mannequin. Form the ultimate film geek quiz team and prove once and for all that you’re no dummy!

Don’t forget that every month we also screen a short film and have a director Q and A. This month it is the darkly hilarious “Speechless.” A suave, observational piece that caught the eye of Mr Kermode himself.

As it’s also that time of year, we’ll be handing out free Valentine treats to all our quizzers to show we love you, even if nobody else does.
