Brian Storm, Founder and Executive Producer at MediaStorm will be in London for a few days as part of a whistle-stop workshop teaching visit. This will be an exclusive engagement at Foto8 and an opportunity for photographers and filmmakers to hear the stories behind the celebrated productions that Media Storm has become famous for over the past eight years.

Storm will showcase past and current projects and discuss the role of multimedia in harnassing the power of the internet and photography to tell stories and reach new audiences. Originally founded in 1994 at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, MediaStorm has focused since 2005 on creating cinematic narratives for distribution across a variety of platforms.

MediaStorm clients and its contributors have been honoured with numerous accolades including an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award, three Emmys (2007, 2008 and 2009) and four Webby Awards. Media Storm's constant interaction with photographers, editors, educators and students throughout the world helps sustain an industry-wide discussion on the promises of multimedia. They offer a variety of workshops and online resources to help others advance their storytelling approaches.

This talk is a rare chance to meet the man behind the multimedia vision, see his work and join the debate about the future of online, cinematic production of photography.
