The uprise of underground culture.

Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre is putting on a spectacular display of British art culture. Golden Bohemian will take you from the 1920’s into our current golden age using immersive dance/theatre. From the sounds of live bands accompanied by highly physical dance/theatre to live art, fashion rails and vintage stalls, all collectively involved will be immersed in an evening of art, debauchery and decadence.

The event will take place at 4th Floor Studios in the heart of East London on two nights, the 2nd and 3rd of March 2012, bringing together people who want to experience a bohemian uprising.

Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre was founded in 2009 and are artistically based in Chisenhale Dance Space. Their ethos includes performance, authenticity, originality and politics. With athleticism, physical contact work, risky lifts, technical accuracy and graceful movement the dance company’s agenda is to provoke a reaction from those that watch. Rhiannon Faith:dancingtheatre accolades include ‘Love My Bones’ and ‘Love Kills’ performed at Resolution! 2010 and 2011 and were commissioned to work with Secret Cinema in 2011.

Presently their focus is on creating Golden Bohemian and similar events in the future that will be integral to the dance company’s work and to put on similar night’s to have interactive dance/theatre.

‘We want new audiences to be brought into the dance scene, into something that they probably wouldn’t be used to’ says Rhiannon Faith, Artistic Director.

Other artists involved will include bands such as Charleston, Adore, Indigo Earth, Horrorshow and musician Oliver Darling. The art displays will exhibit the work of Merlyn Griffiths and the group exhibition of ‘/10 Artists/10 Pubs/’. Stalls and fashion rails will sell the work of Florrie Thomas, Crumpet & Skirt, and Costume Designer of the event Sophie Harris.

We look forward to seeing you there!
