“It’s a Wonderful Vintage Jubilee Jamboree”
Let’s dress up and swing dance like it’s 1952-53

Saturday 19 May 2012
‘The King is Dead, Long Live The Queen’

London, 9 March 2012: Hot on the wonderful vintage heels of their second sell out event called "It's a Wonderful Vintage Love Boat Ball" on Friday 17 February, new vintage special events company “It’s a Wonderful…” Vintage Special Events are straight back with their THIRD big event on 19 May 2012, called “It’s a Wonderful Vintage Jubilee Jamboree” – let’s dress up and swing dance like it’s 1952-53.

Taking place across two beautiful vintage venues situated streets away from each other in Kings Cross, from 3.30pm – 1.00am, the “It’s a Wonderful Vintage Jubilee Jamboree ” invites attendees on a journey back in time to the ‘Cool Britannia’ of 1952-53 by recreating the pomp, ceremony and era when HRH Princess Elizabeth first became Queen.

A strictly vintage dress up, tickets in advance only occasion, this is for swing dancers and none swing dancers alike and for all vintage style lovers and adorers of 1940s and 1950s dress up, glamour, music, accessories, frolics and fun, fun fun. Think finery befitting of a 1952 Queens’ presence, so that’s anything from vintage tiaras, ball gowns, top hats and tails to tea dresses, Sunday best suits, cardigans, big full skirted dresses and even zoot suits for the chaps.

The “It’s a Wonderful Vintage Jubilee Jamboree” antics kick off with a ‘Festival of Britain’ style warm up party at 3.30pm -7.00pm at real ale pub, The Queens Head, Kings Cross, where there will be old fashioned sing alongs around the piano and ukelele, cupcakes and cream teas from Julie Madly Deeply (vintage tea party purveyor), tarot readings, a pop up vintage hair and make-up booth from The Vanity Box, clothing stall from Vivien of Holloway and acres and acres of vintage Union Jack bunting.

The vintage jubilee party atmosphere then moves on to the famous Water Rats Theatre, Kings Cross from 7.30pm – 1.00am, where a line-up of top London swing and R&B DJs will spin the decks, and a variety act entertainment schedule featuring Folly Gosh burlesque, magic tricks, vintage comedy capers and two live swing dance sets from London vintage scene favorites The Wavytones, will keep revelers entertained and dancing until 1.00am. There will also be a special fashion show sponsored by Vivien of Holloway featuring a selection of her most beautiful outfits modeled by some of London’s most stylish vintage scenesters.

With only 300 tickets available, they must be purchased online in advance from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/159466. People should come regally attired and waving their union flags, high, proud and ready for a royally jubilacious vintage good time. This brand of vintage glamour is unique, so by coming along punters young and old, can most definitely be assured of a memorable, quirky and bargain day ‘n’night out.
