Man With A Movie Camera screening, plus live music from In The Nursery

Vertov’s montage of early Soviet city life is one of the most innovative movies ever made. Mixing stunning photography with radical editing techniques, Man With A Movie Camera shows the people of Moscow at work and at play, against the backdrop of the machines that keep the city going.

Performing live to accompany this landmark in experimental film making, pioneering electronic band In The Nursery will be providing a modern score, adding ‘a contemporary feel to a film whose joyous celebrations of modernity in all its forms still seems fresh’ (Phil Johnson - The Independent on Sunday).

The screening and performance is complimented by an afternoon workshop on soundtracking for aspiring film-makers, musicians and the curious.
