Westfield Stratford City and Getty Images Gallery presents Marilyn

To mark 50 years since Marilyn Monroe’s death, Westfield Stratford City and Getty Image Gallery will present an exclusive collection of artwork and memorabilia ranging from Monroe’s early years as an aspiring actress through to her rise to international stardom. From 23rd March to 3rd June the Marilyn exhibition will showcase a diverse selection of prints and video content.

To launch the exhibition an exclusive event is being held on March 22nd. Key retailers on The Street and main centre, including Bumpkin, Folli Folli, Wahaca and Tag Heuer will join forces to celebrate the anniversary by providing great offers and discounts.

Come and join Suzie Kennedy, one of the world's most famous tribute artists, as she opens the exhibition in style on Thursday. As part of the evening a red carpet will guide shoppers through the Street, featuring attractions including a Swing Dance Band, Rock ‘N’ Roll dancers and a retro Film Set with hair and beauty services from Toni & Guy.

The Marilyn Monroe exhibition will launch with an exclusive exhibition preview evening on 22nd March 2012 – by invitation only. The exhibition will then open to the public from 23rd March until 3rd June 2012.
