The Word House

The Word House is a diverse and high-quality spoken word night based in the heart of East London. After numerous sold-out gigs, it is back on Saturday 28th April, set in the bright and trendy vibe of The Gallery Cafe, Bethnal Green.

Headliner MARK GRIST has attracted coverage from the likes of Channel 4 News, The Guardian and Time Out, with his recent performance on 'Don't Flop' rap battles reaching nearly 2 million views on youtube. Also performing are SABRINA MAHFOUZ ("...in quite a different league" The Times) and EMMA JONES (due to represent London in Jack Dean's National Team Slam Olympics). DJ Able will be mixing original instrumental music, with resident poet Dan Simpson hosting the show, and opportunities for Open Mic.
