Our party features the UK’s finest DJs including CJ Mackintosh (‘Pump Up The Volume/Ministry of Sound Resident DJ’), Danny Rampling (Kiss FM/Radio 1), Norman Jay MBE (Kiss FM/Radio London), Phil Asher (Restless Soul), Ricky Morrison (“Salsoul Nugget”), Femi B (Feel Real), Sy Sez (Aphrodisiax/Soul Heaven); with serious diva action from the beautiful Jocelyn Brown (Salsoul Records), Robert Owens (DJ set with vocals), Reel People (“Can’t Stop/The Rain”), Lisa Millett (Bad Habit/When You're Dancing"Shola Phillips (“The Pressure”) and Victoria Wilson James & Waterson (“Deep-in-Vogue”); this is an unmissable night sure to go down in the annals of UK dance music history.

This event celebrates Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson’s immeasurable contribution to UK dance music and his influence on generations who have come after him. Paul is the most naturally gifted DJ in the UK/Europe. His incredibly accurate technical skills, perfect clean mixing, and all-action DJ style, have inspired many of the UK and Europe’s young DJs. His skills and teaching have directly influenced Carl Cox, DJ Jason Kaye, Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown, Frankie Foncett and DJ EZ. Paul has pioneered and played all types of dance music. He played the best tunes during the rise of each genre: Reggae, Soul, Funk, Jazz-Funk, Disco, Electro, Hip-Hop and then House.
From his 1970s Reggae Sound-System “Trouble-Funk” where his nick-name started, to his boogie and jazz-funk journeys. Paul was the first black DJ to play in Soho in 1979 - when he was the resident at Crackers with George Power, and his followers included Norman Jay and Terry Farley. In 1982 Paul was pioneering the Electro sound at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, as well as playing funk and rare-groove at The Cat In the Hat, and displaying his superb skills as an amazing and notorious dancer. Paul is definitely the most gifted dancer of any DJ in the world. He was offered a scholarship to Harlem School of Ballet. Paul is also an excellent footballer and a black-belt in Win Chun.

During the late 1980s Acid House era, Paul was head-lining at the massive Sunrise, Biology and Back to the Future raves, and was also resident at Love at the Wag, Solaris and Enter The Dragon at the Park. Paul was the first UK DJ to play in Italy, and was the regular resident at Angels of Love (Napoli, Italy).
Paul was one of the founders of Kiss FM, London’s first legal dance music station. His hugely influential Saturday Night 9pm-11pm Live “Exclusive Advance Dance Mix Show” on Kiss FM (1988-1999) was sponsored by Sony, Levis, Vestax and Stussy. Paul launched and nurtured amazing residencies at legendary clubs such as Trouble’s House (Legends) and The Loft (HQs, Camden Town - London’s best mid-week club which ran for 10 years with special appearances from DJs Tony Humphries, Kenny Carpenter, Louie Vega, Kerri Chandler, Norman Jay, CJ Mackintosh Grant Nelson and Dave Camacho (RIP), Marshall Jefferson, Gusto, Benji Candelario, Lenny Fontana and singers Kathy Sledge, Ultra Nate, Jocelyn Brown, Adeva, Loleatta Holloway (RIP), Joi Cardwell, Kathy Brown, Carol Sylvan, Andrea Mendez, Amira, Mone, Jean Carne, Crystal Waters, Kenny Bobien, Gerideau, Arnold Jarvis, Daryl Pandy (RIP), Shawn Benson (RIP), Leroy Burgess and Stephen Granville.

His huge support in breaking vocal stars includes amazing artists such as Michael Watford and Barbara Tucker, and hits such as "Closer Than Close" by Rosie Gaines and "Get Up" by Byron Stingily. Paul continues to play Guest DJ sets on the world’s more discerning dancefloors, and strives to always bring more to the table in dance music.

Paul is a truly generous, beautiful person, with the genuine deep charisma that Larry Levan (Paradise Garage) also shared with the world. Paul’s technical skills are unique, only Frankie Knuckles mixes with the same confidence and clarity. Paul’s broadcasting skills and knowledge of all types of music are the UK equivalent of Tony Humphries’ work in New Jersey. Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson is a true dance music original who’s written the book on how to do things his way.

As well as throwing one of the capital’s biggest All Star House music marathon, Sunday May 20th is also about raising awareness for those living with cancer, and Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson has nominated the MACMILLAN Cancer Support organisation to receive a percentage of the profits from this event to help fellow sufferers in the future.

Cancer is the toughest fight most of us might ever have to face and Macmillan Cancer Support are there so that you don’t have to go through it alone, supporting you every step of the way. From practical to financial help, from emotional to relationship issues, Macmillan are the UK’s definitive one-stop organisation for advice, education, community, care and above all understanding.
Donations make up 96% of their income, and they simply couldn't do what they do without support from ordinary people. Their annual reports offer a transparent overview of how they raise and spend their money, and we hope to raise a tidy sum for them on May 20th.

So without further ado we request your presence on the dance-floors of the world-famous Ministry of Sound for Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson’s All Star Charity Fundraiser for MACMILLAN Cancer Support. Please spread the word and join us on Sunday May 20th...festivities kick off 9pm prompt.
