We are celebrating “ St George’s Day 2012”. The market will be decorated in St George’s day colours.

On this special day all customers who are members of the Lamb Tavern data base will receive in advance by e mail a voucher for a complimentary pint of Bombardier, Young’s Bitter or a glass of Wine in order to be able to toast St George.

We are aiming to organise a world record beating attempt for the number of people toasting St George.

There is currently no World Record for the largest number of people to recite Shakespeare's famous St. George speech (Henry V - Act III, Scene I):
"I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'"

All people to be involved in the record breaking attempt would need to register by 12.30pm with practise run at 1pm & record breaking attempt at 1.15pm

In addition to the complimentary drink, Bombardier & Young’s Bitter will be sold at £2 a pint from 11am to 11pm on the 23rd April 2012.

The Lamb Tavern will have a “pop up” outside Bar in Leadenhall Market dispensing ales directly from the Cask from 11am to 11pm.

At midday on the 23rd April , the Ewell St. Mary’s Morris Men will dance in Leadenhall Market (ewellmorris.co.uk).
