Ziggurat: Diary of a Modern Day War Artist by Xavier Pick
An Appeal Event from The British Institute for the Study of Iraq (Gertrude Bell Memorial)

War and peace artist, Xavier Pick discusses his journey to the ancient Sumerian monument, the Ziggurat of Ur, as part of this audio-visual lecture organised by BISI. Featuring drawings, photographs and excerpts from his current film project, the talk will offer insights into Pick’s experiences as a guest of the American armed forces in 2011 and his study of Iraq’s fascinating heritage. Proceeds will go towards the BISI’s appeal for Iraqi Scholars.

To book tickets please visit the events page on the BISI website http://www.britac.ac.uk/institutes/iraq/ or contact Alan Sandall at [email protected].
