The award-winning Tin Can Podcast, which produces short pieces of audio comedy and drama for free download, is celebrating its 100th play with a live recording.
The free event, on May 5 (4-5pm) at the Kiss the Sky Bar in Crouch End, is being held as part of the Crouch End Festival.
Using local actors, the Tin Can team will record a new piece of original comedy along with live versions of their previous plays.
There will also be an element of audience participation. The live recordings will be available to download from the site following the event.
Tin Can Podcast, which is made up of writers Jonathan Brown, Mark Brown, Mark Lindow and Mike Shephard and editor/sound designer Frederic Fournier, release a free short audio play every Monday.
So far, their podcasts have received over 150,000 downloads with around 3,000 new hits every week. Last year, they won the Fringe Report Award for Best Audio.
