Unified Dance Showcase at Hawthorne Theatre

This is now the 6th year that Unified Dance Showcase has been run. Each year we manage to pull in the best dancers/dance groups from across the UK to perform in support of our dedicated cause.
The idea for Unified was inspired by a London dance event called 'Stylefest', where a discussion forum amongst dancers highlighted the need for the dance community to pull together and support each other rather than promoting the atmosphere of rivalry that seems to have become commonplace. Brendon Hansford from Alter Ego Dance Studio felt that this was an issue that hit very close to home and decided to create a dance showcase with the intention to unify the dance community. Little did we know that a movement was being created fuelled by a collective belief in our motto "Don't talk about the person, Talk to them". We believe that this simple strategy can avoid the unnecessary conflict caused by hearsay, rumors and gossip, helping companies and schools to communicate and work together.

This year promises to be bigger than the rest, with a line up that is proven to impress. Amongst the 24 dance groups we have managed to secure 3 groups that have featured on Got To Dance and another that did very well on Britain’s Got Talent.
