A Sizzling Summer at Westfield London

London is the place to be this summer and with all things sporting taking place east of the capital, West is proving equally as exciting as Westfield London is set to host an array of entertainment throughout August.

Westfield London has summer covered with over 150 live performances, screenings of the summer Games live in-centre and fashion and dining offers.

Tell the World #IWasThere for the 2012 Games:

Take a front row seat at the Official Shopping Centre of the 2012 Games! Westfield London is making sure everyone stays up to speed with all the action happening at the Games by partnering with the BBC to screen live coverage from The Balcony. Once you have watched Team GB winning gold, you can take the stage at the #IWasThere photo booth, complete with an athletics stadium backdrop to ensure you remember the historic moment forever with a fun momentum to take away.

All visitors to the photo booth will be given a complimentary tote bag containing an exclusive oyster card wallet and temporary fashion tattoo transfer. You can find the photo-booth on the First Floor outside The Village until the 9th September.

Have a Go at Sports:

Whilst Games fever sweeps the country, come and try your hand at a fun selection of sports at Westfield London. Ping England will be hosting Ping Pong workshops on back hand techniques and serving skills. For the more adventurous, freestyle gymnasts and free runners from Team Kinetix will be demonstrating their extreme routines, interspersed with tutorials and gymnastics workshops.

Shop Until You Drop:

Fashionistas will be able to treat themselves this summer with Westfield Londons extended opening hours and £5 all-day parking promotion, offering the perfect excuse to visit and get that sizzling summer wardrobe must-have!

Live Music:

Calling all music fans! Westfield London has a stunning roster of live music performances this summer in five pop-up entertainment zones. Artists including Max Milner, the semi-finalist from the BBC talent show, The Voice, and current lead in West End musical Footloose, will join West End regular, Tom Chambers and I Am Tich, singer songwriter and support act to Justin Bieber, in live music performances.

Lyrix Organix will also provide a 360 degree immersive show of performance poetry, freestyle hip hop, beat box and live street art. The diverse catalogue of music, from soft jazz or to the soothing tones of the acoustic guitar ensures there is something for every taste.

Pop Up Theatre:

Oh yes it is! Westfield London is staging a selection of fantastic theatre shows throughout August. From magic acts to Hula Hoop shows and musical theatre, Westfield is the only place to be to experience a plethora of live musical spectacles.

Character Meet & Greets:

Angelina Ballerina

Kids will be spoilt for choice with a variety of free activities to take part in; from face painting to the chance to meet their television idols. Westfield London will host a selection of meet and greet events, with some of TVs best loved children characters. Fireman Sam, Fifi and Bumble, Postman Pat, Angelina Ballerina and Water Hazard from Ben 10 will all be present to say hello, shake hands, share hugs and pose for photos.

The Disney Store:

The Disney Store is celebrating all things fairytale by inviting little guests to join in on a variety of free and fun activities ins-store. Learn to draw Flounder from The Little Mermaid or choose which route Ariel should take in the interactive story time event. All little guests who visit the store dressed as their favourite Princess will receive a free gift*.

Foyles:

Foyles will kick off the summer with a range of fun for the little ones including fancy dress-ups; games with Paddington Bear and lessons on London where the hidden treats of the city can be learned. Discover where to have lunch with a pelican, how to throw and catch a whisper and discover the true heart of London.
