The capital’s best-dressed, fugliest and smartest dogs will be hitting the dogwalk at Old Spitalfields Market as the market is hosting its second annual Paw Pageant.

Paw-perfect pooches will be competing to win prizes in eight categories, from ‘Dressed Up to the K-Nines’ to ‘Shoreditch Show Off’. There will also be a small specialist market selling a variety of great gear and tasty grub to pamper your pooch, dog-themed items from various Old Spitalfields’ stores and a glorious raffle by canine couturist’s LoveMyDog in aid of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

It’s £5 to pre-register your dog into the Paw Pageant (www.oldspitalfieldsmarket.com ) or £8 on the day. The Paw Pageant runs from 1pm-3.30pm. The market is open as usual from 10am-5pm, with Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair selling vintage fashion, accessories and homeware. Over 90 vintage stallholders will be at the Market, plus there will be live music on the dogwalk over lunchtime. It promises to be a Bank Holiday to remember.

1pm- 1.30pm- LoveMyDog will showcase the canine couture British Tweed collection.
1.30pm- 2pm- The Darling Dog Company will demonstrate agility training.
2pm- 3.30pm- The Paw Pageant.
