Man Down launches on Friday 31st August 2012 at the Scala in Kings Cross with Two Wounded Birds headlining a night of live music followed by DJ sets from Sonny Wharton (Space, Pascha, Ministry of Sound) and Lewi Five 0 (Ministry of Sound).
Their self-titled debut album has received good critical response from the NME (8/10) and Q Magazine(4/5) and the band are tipped to become a big deal in the next few months. US music industry legend, Seymour Stein declared them the "best band since The Ramones".
With their mix of reverberating rock’n’roll guitars and surf-pop melodies, Two Wounded Birds have been compared to The Beach Boys, Velvet Underground and The Drums.
Two Wounded Birds will be supported on the night by The Hosts, The VEINS and special guests.
Tickets for this night are available now from Ticketweb, priced £15. A limited number of tickets are available for £10 using the promotional code CALM. Tickets are also available from Skiddle.com, priced £15.
All proceeds from this event will go to CALM (registered charity no 1110621) to help reduce the suicide rate of young men in the UK.
