International Alert are holding a two-week exhibition (3rd Oct - 13th Oct) at the SW1 Gallery in London showing the stories of Rwandan people rebuilding their lives after the 1994 genocide.
Award-winning photojournalist Carol Allen Storey spent a month in Rwanda capturing the work of International Alert’s programmes, which address the social, psychological and economic impacts of the genocide on the Rwandan people.
These images reflect the personal stories of survivors, ex-prisoners and ex-combatants, and how they are rebuilding their lives with our help.
