Late autumn is a great time to get a close look at the botanical side of London Wetland Centre! The Centre has been carefully planted with a variety of plant species that provide shelter and food for wildlife.
Sloes, hawthorn berries and rosehips, for example, help to feed birds and small mammals throughout the winter.
During the walk, which lasts about an hour and a half, plant enthusiast Peter Day will identify plants and explain their importance to our wildlife, and the historical uses to which many have been put by man.
Meet in the courtyard. £6 per person - this does not include entrance to the Centre.
